Your fit-and-proper position, live, with the proof attached.
ReadyState Comply is representative and compliance management for South African FSPs licensed under FAIS Category I. It works out every representative’s deadlines from their real dates, and keeps the document that proves each status on the record it belongs to.
Every representative carries a set of statutory deadlines from the day they are appointed.
Most firms track them in a spreadsheet someone updates by hand. These are the problems in the words a Key Individual or Compliance Officer would use.
“I find out about a missed deadline after it’s missed.”
Each clock runs from a different date, per representative, per class. A spreadsheet updated by hand tells you afterwards.
“Our status says compliant, but I can’t show the proof.”
At an inspection the question is never whether they are fit and proper, it is show me. Certificates live in inboxes and shared drives.
“The monthly compliance report takes days and is out of date the day it’s signed.”
The figures are compiled by hand from several places, then overtaken by the next appointment or the next exam result.
“Supervision is the riskiest thing we do and the least recorded.”
An agreement signed after supervision started covers nothing, and nobody can show the week a supervisor did nothing.

Three steps, then it runs itself.
Import an existing representative register from Excel. The column mapping is shown before anything is saved, and you can export it again whenever you like.
From each representative’s real dates, first appointment, classes held, exams passed, under a versioned Board Notice 194 ruleset. Nobody types a status in.
Outstanding gates, training, supervision evidence and returns appear as tasks, assigned to the person responsible and the Key Individual accountable, and close themselves when the work is done.
Five things carry the product.
Every representative carries a status worked out from their dates: Fit and Proper, Supervision Allowed, Deadline Breached or Legacy Review. It cannot say compliant because someone wanted it to.
Every statutory clock in one list, soonest first, with email reminders before each one falls due.
The work each deadline implies appears as a task against the person responsible, and closes itself when the evidence is in.
A status needs its document. Certificates, agreements and returns sit on the record they prove and open in the app.
Every section of the firm shown live. The firm’s colour is its worst section, never an average, so nine clear areas cannot hide one breach.
The agreement must be signed before supervision starts. Weekly, then monthly, supervision periods are created automatically, each waiting for its evidence. A supervisor must hold the class they supervise.
Every reportable change starts the FSCA’s 15-day clock. One filing can cover many representatives, and a rejected filing is tracked through to resubmission.
The statutory steps in order, each needing its evidence, with the FSCA’s 5- and 15-day clocks stopping as each step is done.
Complaints with their 6-week clocks, breaches with remedial actions, gifts totalled per third party per calendar year against the firm’s limits, and the firm’s institutional returns.
The firm’s training catalogue, product training linked to the classes it covers, CPD cycles worked out per Board Notice 194 including part years, and an accredited provider list.
Onboarding with Key Individual approval, offboarding, Key Individual exits with a handover of everything they were accountable for, and reinstatement.
The monthly compliance report and every register as PDF or Excel, filtered the way the screen is.
Import an existing register from Excel with the mapping shown before anything is saved, and export it again whenever you like.
A generic HR or task tool can store a date. These are the things it cannot do.
The fit-and-proper status comes from the dates and the rules.
Every period comes from a versioned ruleset. A change in the law is a new rule version, and past checks keep the answer they gave at the time.
A pass, a signed agreement or a filed return needs its document attached before it counts.
A representative appointed before 2010, or a class added near the 2018 transition, is marked Legacy Review for a person to decide.
An FSCA filing is tracked from submitted to accepted, and a rejection reopens it.
Exam attempts, FSCA filings, completed debarment steps and the change log are append-only. Representatives are never deleted, only made inactive.
Statuses are calculated. There is no machine learning anywhere in the product.
Category I subcategories, Board Notice 194 Annexure One experience periods, the FSCA’s own deadlines and POPIA, built in rather than configured.
One login, every client firm.
A Compliance Officer on retainer serves several FSPs and logs in to five different systems, or none. Comply gives them one login across all of them, with a firm switcher in the sidebar.
POPIA-conscious by design.
The firm holds identity numbers for every representative. Comply is built so that file never has to leave the building.
Seen only by the roles a firm has cleared for them.
A register that leaves the system does not take identity numbers with it.
Who, and when. The change log is append-only.
Comply works in the browser and installs like an app. No register data is stored on the device, deliberately.
Comply helps a firm stay fit and proper and shows where it is not. Responsibility under FAIS stays with the firm, and no software can carry it.
The ones we are asked first.
Yes. Import your existing representative register from Excel. The column mapping is shown before anything is saved, so you can see exactly how your sheet maps across, and you can export the register again at any time.
Access is set by the firm, per section, at View, Work or Decide. Identity and health information are seen only by the roles cleared for them, and exports never carry ID numbers.
No. No such approval exists for compliance software. Comply is built around FAIS and Board Notice 194, and it records your FSCA filings and their deadlines. Filing itself happens on the FSCA’s own portal.
